We collect swarms
Swarm season is here! This one was enormous, overflowing out of two brood boxes, but the bees seem delighted with their new home. We are regularly out collecting swarms around Lismore and Ballina in spring if they are in a reachable location. If you see a large bunch of bees on a tree branch or perched on a fence in our local area feel free to ring us. If the hive has already moved in somewhere we may still be able to help.
We can look after your bees for you
Do you have bees which you don't have time for? Bees, like all livestock, need responsible and consistent management. This means that your bees won't suffer from pests like small hive beetle and diseases like AFB. When your bees breed up in spring they become overcrowded, swarm and become a pest which takes natural hollows and nest boxes away from native wildlife. We can mentor you to look after your bees
Bees are livestock and need careful management. If you are not confident and experienced spotting eggs, finding your queen, managing pests like small hive beetle, diseases like AFB, and splitting hives to prevent swarming we can help you out and teach you how to boost your beekeeping skills.
