Jackie and Luke have always understood the importance of good pest and disease management with their bees. After volunteering with the DPI on the Varroa mite emergency response at Newcastle, Jackie realised just how unprepared Australian beekeepers are for pests like Varroa destructor. Integrated Pest Management involves using the best combination of biological, cultural and chemical controls to acheive the best outcome for our bees.
